What is a Learning Tower®?
The Learning Tower is a safe, elevated platform that allows young children to stand at countertop height while staying securely supported. With sturdy construction and protective safety rails, it gives toddlers the confidence to participate in everyday family activities right alongside parents and caregivers.

What is the right age for Learning Towers?
Most Learning Towers are recommended for children between 18 months and 6 years old. Every child develops differently, so the right time to begin depends on your child's height, balance, coordination, and your specific product's recommended age and weight guidelines.

History of The Learning Tower®
The Learning Tower was invented in 1992 in Shreveport, Louisiana by Little Partners' Founder, Carol Gamble, a Montessori Educator and Mom. Carol noticed that her toddler daughter Hanna had a desire to be included in grown up activities such as cooking and doing the dishes, but there wasn't a good way to safely include her on the market.
Since she couldn't purchase a solution to her problem, Carol decided to make one! Carol quickly got to work at engineering the perfect safe step stool for Hanna. In her mind, there were 3 things every Learning Tower should have: An Adjustable Platform for maximum usage time, Four sided safety rails, and a tip proof base.
Today, Little Partners® has grown to include a variety of products, including: Easels, Step Stools, Cubbies, Climbing and Balance tools, and other developmental accessories. In 2026, Little Partners celebrated 34 years of helping parents with solutions that create safe environments to learn and explore.
Certified Safe & Non-Toxic
All Little Partners' products are put through rigorous 3rd party testing to guarantee they are safe for use by children.
Tests include:
• Tip-over test with 35 lb. weight - forward/backward/sideways
• Platform Strength Test - 50 lb weight dropped on the platform 1,000 times
• Pinch Point Test - Certifies that the product will not pinch fingers or toes.
In addition to 3rd Party testing, we also test our products in-house in our Test Lab. This way we can be absolutely sure that our products are as safe as they can possibly be for your children.

Currently, the US Government does not have an official safety standard in the product category of Toddler Towers (aka Kitchen Towers). Our owner, Ken Waldman, was selected to Co-Chair a committee with the express purpose of writing the first ever set of safety standards for this category.
