A tool for your kids in the kitchen!
from esskayelle | August 23, 2007It’s been a while since I’ve posted a mommy tip, so here goes. When visiting my friend Helen, i came upon The Learning Tower. At first glance, I thought that she had decided to put a jungle gym in her kitchen. My, was i mistaken.
This wonderful contraption is basically a high-end step stool for your little one.
Dillan has been a very curious toddler, and wants to “see! see! see!” everything that I’m up to in the land of kitchen counters. A land that little eyes can’t see.
So I was forced to either hold her on my hip, sit her on the counter, or pull up a chair for her to stand. Every option compromised her safety. So I gave in, and bought The Learning Tower.
I am sooo glad I did. It is a marvel!
Dillan loves to stand on it, sometimes she will eat her snack standing at the counter, just for the fun of it! It’s super safe, and sturdy enough for two little bodies to stand side by side. I look forward to when she is old enough to actually help me cook...this thing will really come in handy then.
As for portability...it’s not. But I took the advice of a reviewer, and slid a piece of felt underneath the feet. By doing that I can easily slide it over, without worrying about my floors.
It’s a bit pricey, so look for good deals. The best I found was at the BabyCenter store and i bought it on a weekend where they were offering an additional 15% off. Service is quick, I bought it on a Sunday night, and got it on Thursday morning.
